Berenice Abbott in Musée de l’Elysée’s ‘The Beauty of Lines’ exhibition

Berenice Abbott’s 1930s photographs of New York, as well as her more abstract scientific studies from the 1950s, demonstrate an obvious fascination for lines and form.

Musée de l’Elysée’s current exhibition The Beauty of Lines explores the power of the photographic line through works by some of the greatest photographers of the 20th and 21st centuries, including those by Abbott.

The Beauty of Lines, 31 January – 6 May 2018.
