Book signing of Jem Southam’s latest book ‘The Moth’ at Huxley-Parlour

Jem Southam will be at the gallery on Thursday 28 February signing copies of his latest book ‘The Moth’, published by MACK in October 2018. The book features photographs taken over the course of 30 years in Cornwall and dwells on theories of the sublime in the natural landscape.

Born in Bristol in 1950, Jem Southam is a critically acclaimed landscape photographer. His work is housed in the collections of many notable institutions, including Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, Museum Folkwang, Essen and the Yale Centre for British Art, Connecticut. He has been the subject of numerous solo shows including exhibitions at Tate St Ives in 2004 and The Victoria & Albert Museum in 2006.

As well as ‘The Moth’, we will also have copies of Southam’s 2012 book ‘The River Winter’ available to sign. Each book will be available to purchase on the day and are priced at £45. The event will take place on Thursday 28 February from 4.30 – 6pm. This event is free, with no booking required.
