We are delighted to present a pop-up exhibition in collaboration with environmental law charity, ClientEarth.
The Very Fire They Sit Beside is the result of a journey across Europe by photographer Dan Wilton to document the impact of the coal industry on the landscape and communities who live in its shadow.
All proceeds from print sales will go to environmental legal charity ClientEarth, who dedicate their fight to tackling the climate crisis by using the power of the law.
Dan Wilton is a portrait, editorial, and documentary photographer based in London, UK. His first monograph ‘Crane’ was published in 2017 and his work has been exhibited across the UK in both solo and group exhibitions.
ClientEarth is a non-profit organisation that uses the law to create systemic change that protects the Earth for – and with – its inhabitants: “We are tackling climate change, protecting nature and stopping pollution, with partners and citizens around the globe. We hold industry and governments to account, and defend everyone’s right to a healthy world. From our offices in Europe, Asia and the USA we shape, implement and enforce the law, to build a future for our planet in which people and nature can thrive together”.
