Watch: Jonas Pequeno Discusses his Work, /ˈfəʊli/
Artist Jonas Pequeno introduces /ˈfəʊli/, a new audiovisual installation currently on show at Huxley-Parlour. Pequeno works predominantly with sound, spanning various mediums including sculpture, painting, performance and video. He is interested in the transformative nature of sound and its intersection with language, exploring concepts around semiotics, absurdism and technological intervention.
Pequeno discusses the concept of foley, and reveals the ways in which the work, /ˈfəʊli/, subverts the genre by making visible labour which would normally be invisible.
