Inscribed with various indiscriminate descriptions in unknown hand, stamped with Periodicals Art Library stamp and “Illustrated” date stamp and affixed with Popperfoto copyright label and descriptive labels ‘The American Scene. Pics by Henri Cartier Bresson of “Magnum”. The American Scene changes from city to city, from state to state but under it all lies the aim of a young country in pursuit of happiness’ and ‘Latter-day Puritans, Amishwomen members of sect that abjures pins, buttons, bring tranquility of a seventeenth-century colony to Lancaster in Pennsylvania’ on reverse.
