Harley Roberts

Unsettling, distorted human forms throng Harley Robert’s frames. The artist, with a gestural handling of paint, seeks to figure the ‘uncanny’ and to give life to what he calls an introspective ‘horror’. While many of his paintings are explicit in their objective, others depict a subtler representation of the more disquieting side of aesthetic beauty. 

Harley Roberts, born in Grimethorpe in 1995, graduated from the Royal College of Art, London in 2024. His work has been presented in exhibitions across the United Kingdom. Roberts lives and works in London.
