The Road to the Mine, Anargyroi, Northern Greece

The rural village of Anargyroi was half destroyed when the 5km-long Amyntaio mine on its doorstep caused a catastrophic landslide in 2017. Villagers had to flee as their houses began to crumble. Most lost their homes and were unable to return. Once home to around 400 people, now fewer than 50 villagers remain.
