Nashville-based artist Emily Weiner introduces her debut solo exhibition at HUXLEY-PARLOUR, Elastic Concept. The exhibition, which presents a suite of eight new paintings, includes new small-scale works made on warped panels that playfully renegotiate the limitations of the medium.

Here, Weiner discusses how archetypal symbols, psychology and universalism have influenced her practice. She reveals the notion of polarities which shaped the title of the exhibition, and elaborates on her exploration of the divine and the real.
