Biography
Poetic, fanciful imaginations of the ecological fabric of the earth are figured, colourfully and sporadically, in Sarah Ann Weber’s paintings. The artist states she has ‘always gravitated towards books that had photographs of fossils and other organic shapes’, and the aesthetics of vegetation even on a cellular level. The resultant works straddle a line between figuration and abstraction, as elegant forms and vivid colours blend into one another and harmonise. Weber’s works are joyous celebrations of ecology and the earth, told through her own playful receptions of nature.
