HP What is the first thing you do in the morning?
RM I turn on the coffee machine.
HP Describe where you produce your work, and why you chose that space.
RM I share a group studio near my home. Back at university, I really enjoyed the exchange with others, and I’m glad that such a community still exists.

HP Where do you go to feel energised creatively?
RM To a museum. I live and work in Dresden, not a huge city, but it still has some great museums. Visiting friends’ studios is also always a good idea.
HP If you could choose one word to describe your work, what would it be?
RM Memories.
HP What do you do when you need to escape the studio and reset your mind?
RM I enjoy doing a little bit of sport.

RM One play at a time.
HP If you weren’t an artist what would you do?
RM Probably an art handler, or a book seller.
HP What is one thing you couldn’t live without in your studio?
RM My books.

RM To study art.
