Ahead of the opening of Catherine Long: After the Fire, we are delighted to share a short film commissioned on the occasion of her first solo exhibition with the gallery. Filmed in her London studio, the artist reflects on her practice, exploring how movement and gesture shape her work. Drawing on her background in dance, Long elaborates on how her paintings trace the trajectory of her body across the canvas, creating a sense of life-form and history that viewers can move through and explore.
