Watch: Exhibition Tour of ‘Yulia Iosilzon: Fanfarria’
While our doors at Huxley-Parlour Gallery are temporarily shut, we invite you virtually view our exhibition of new works by Yulia Iosilzon featuring in Fanfarria.
The new body of work explores notions of hedonism, escapism and fantasy through the artist’s signature use of bold colours, and free-flowing calligraphic lines, laced with layers of symbolism and repeated motifs.
Often referencing fairytales, Iosilzon’s paintings are at times both playful and sinister. The artist’s illustrative style, combined with her use of traditional symbols of good and evil, creates dream-like scenes enveloped in dual narratives.
Fanfarria is on show virtually at Huxley-Parlour Gallery, from 23 February – 30 March 2021.
