HP What is the first thing you do in the morning?
AS Have my coffee and breakfast and some nice ambient music playing in the background.
HP Describe where you produce your work, and why you chose that space.
AS In my studio in East Williamsburg. I chose it for its enormous windows, which let in an abundance of natural light that transforms the colours in different ways throughout the day. They also face west, towards the sunset, so every day the room fills with warm tones. In that exact moment, I stop painting for a few minutes, and I become a viewer.
HP Where do you go to feel energised creatively?
AS The dance floor.

AS Always verify your ideas by doing them.
